The Moxy Fayetteville offers a trendy, millennial-inspired atmosphere with a focus on social spaces and a lively bar scene. However, recent reviews highlight significant issues with noise levels, limited amenities, and parking difficulties, alongside exceptional service from certain staff members. Overall it offers a vibrant but inconsistent experience.
I expect a whole lot more from Marriott!! Not a hotel for adults. Certainly not worth $1,200 for 5 nights. The furniture inside the room was comfortable and for the very small space was functional. However, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. You can hear everything single door slam, person walking down the hall, and sneezes near by. The people above me were stomping all hours of the day and night and the front office was unable to circumvent the disturbance, despite telling me it was handled- twice. The room is equipped with a sound machine, but it was not enough to reduce the inconsiderate neighbors. For the amount you pay for the hotel you'd expect more amenities. No laundry, no fan in the bathroom (so the room got muggy after a shower), no ice machine, no coffee in room, inconsistent HVAC cooling, and very few food options in the hotel itself. Location is good with a few quality restaurants near by and right off the greenbelt. About a 30 minute walk to UARK.
The vibe is fine - typical sort of millennial chic aesthetic that's popular in hotels built in the last 10 years. The bartenders are all nice, and attentive even when there's a rush. The nuisance is, it seems like in an attempt to enforce their valet service, the entire S Yard parking lot now requires one to scan a QR code to validate 2 hour free parking, even if you're a customer of nearby businesses. The parking lot is almost always very empty, and S Fayetteville always has nearby lots in the cases which it is not, so it feels like an overstep in their stake of S Yard. But I'm sure it helps them ensure they get that extra $30 from each guest.
First thing first the valet was absolutely amazing. That is the first thing I noticed once I came here. He was on point and he went above and beyond for us accommodated every need we had. Second the bartenders and the bar were just absolute perfection. Atmosphere was amazing. Now onto the room. Love them! The vibes in the rooms is something I’ve never seen before. Have to come by. You will love it!
Fun new hotel off MLK near the university in Fayetteville. They are located in the same lot as Sweetgreen and Taco and Tamale. I have not stayed here but I have been here twice for events. They mostly have valet parking in the front and if you want regular parking you have to drive around to the back or side and find a spot that is not residential or for the restaurant's in the same area so that was a little tricky. They have a nice open out door seating area by the main entrance that has outdoor games, lots of seating, a big lawn area, and firepits. The entrance is a little different- you enter below which goes into a casual car seating area that used to be a parking garage. The check in area is actually the bar. Lots of seating, tv, live music, games, photo booth, and drinks and some bar snacks. Up the stairs is a loft meeting space where they host events like the book swap that I attended. Not as big as a ballroom space, more meeting room for small gatherings. Overall, 4 stars for a meeting space/hang out without rating and seeing the rooms.
I love the Moxy Fayetteville location, generally I do not enjoy the European style stay that is typical of the Moxy brand, however the service and care at the Moxy is TOP NOTCH! Kendall, Arthur and all other bar staff made me feel like family during my stay. The rooms are quite small but i didn’t even care because I was in the lobby all night long ! With parking being valet only I was initially frustrated to add another expenditure to my stay but the attentive and friendly service from Chase and all other valet staff was excellent ! Well worth the security and convenience ! It cannot be over stated how kind and friendly the bartenders/front desk staff is, and highly competent ! Kendall especially turned my trip around ! And I WILL be staying again when I next visit Fayetteville!
