Absolutely beautiful! My only qualm is the lack of AC. We visited on a 85/90 degree day and the room was hot even with AC on. Doable during the day but I like to sleep comfortably. There was a ceiling fan but in order for the fan to be on, which would have been great, the light had to be on. The weird thing is the light that had to be on for the fan to work was in the sitting room. Bad wiring? Its an open floor plan so the light mattered. Other than that it was a very nice stay. Easy to access, great location and cool bit of history. We stayed in the carriage house for clarity.

The staff and hosts were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire stay. Breakfast each morning was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, adding even more charm to the experience. I also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the relaxing outdoor spaces around the property. Everything throughout the inn felt clean, organized, and professionally maintained. This is a perfect destination for romantic getaways, weekend trips, and anyone who appreciates historic elegance and exceptional hospitality.

Wonderful bed and breakfast with elegant décor, comfortable rooms, and excellent hospitality. The property was clean, quiet, and beautifully preserved, and the homemade breakfast each morning was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend this place for couples or anyone looking for a unique stay.

The place was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The home furnishings were antique’s and super cool to look at!! The bed was super comfortable & the shower was nice & hot!! However, since we checked in on a Monday there was no breakfast provided. Not even a muffin. The coffee in room was delicious & loved the Raw sugar. We would go back but probably make it a weekend.

My husband and I had a lovely stay! The Hornibrook Mansion (The Empress) is amazing!! The home is beautifully furnished and truly takes one back to another time. I loved reading my book in the library and wandering the common rooms downstairs. Our room upstairs also had a great soaking tub that was perfect for a bubble bath! The king size bed felt luxurious, and the gas fireplace was so cozy. Definitely want to return!
