This Courtyard by Marriott offers a prime downtown location with easy access to restaurants and attractions, particularly appreciated by visitors attending local events like the Little Rock Marathon. While praised for its location and bar atmosphere, recent reviews highlight inconsistent housekeeping services and billing discrepancies.
Not a bad property. The rooms are a little dated and Lenin’s and towels feel and look “old”. The location is great with many food options within walking distance. The parking situation is not ideal. You can street park (free on weekends only) or park in the parking garage but it’s not attached to the property.
Julie and Barbara were absolutely fantastic! The hotel was clean and welcoming on arrival, with a great location for dining options. I came down to the bar before dinner, Julie had a fantastic list of restaurants within walking distance which really helped me make up my mind. After dinner the bar was still busy and had a great atmosphere. Julie makes a delicious old fashioned! I will be using this hotel for any future business travel in the area! Thank you!
I must be honest. I have never stayed at the hotel. However the bar in the lobby, is the place to be. Julie the bartender is a true mixoligist! She's fun, and can make the best espresso martini in Little Rock! On a business trip? Passing through, or live in the area. Want a good drink? Check it out!
In town for the Little Rock Marathon, and grabbed a room last minute. Perfect location downtown, with everything within walking distance. Including the Marriott where the race started, and President Clinton library the other direction. There's a parking garage right behind it, and they allow in and out for $18 a day.
My father booked an eight-night stay at the Courtyard by Marriott while attending a funeral. During his entire stay, his room was cleaned only once—on the first night. Despite repeatedly speaking with the front desk, including an employee named Rosa, he was continually assured that housekeeping would service his room. This never happened. Trash accumulated to the point where he was forced to empty his own trash daily, which is unacceptable for a paid hotel stay. During his visit, he also made a purchase at the American Bistro located in the hotel lobby. Upon checkout, he reviewed his hotel statement and found all charges to be accurate. However, after later reviewing his bank statements, he discovered additional unexplained charges totaling $42.03. When he contacted customer service, he was told that the manager, Candace Matthews, confirmed the charges were from the American Bistro and that she could see them in the system. When we later spoke directly with Candace, her explanation changed—she then stated she did not see any Bistro charges at all. This inconsistency is deeply concerning and reflects poorly on both staff accountability and management practices. Paying over $800 for a stay that included inadequate housekeeping, conflicting information from staff, and unresolved billing issues is unacceptable. Management promised to return his call regarding a refund, yet it has been over a month with no response or resolution. This experience reflects a serious failure in hospitality standards, transparency, and customer service. Courtyard by Marriott needs to do better.
