The Residence Inn Little Rock Downtown offers a central location and friendly staff, highlighted by exceptional service and a convenient free breakfast. However, recent reviews indicate ongoing maintenance needs, particularly with room odors, outdated facilities, and parking challenges, leading to inconsistent guest experiences.
The hotel staff was super nice and helpful. Natasha is probably the nicest person to ever work at a hotel front desk! The reason for the three star review was due to the rooms and facilities. It’s an average/normal hotel, but seems to be in need of updating and general facilities repairs. The carpet in the hallways has rips all along the hallway. The pool had what seemed like debris from the trees in the pool area. It wasn’t the worst pool, but not the best for cleanliness. The breakfast was as expected for a free hotel breakfast. Nothing spectacular but still filling and included in price. The room, however, was the worst part unfortunately. Ours smelled like there had been a fish fry recently. The whole room every time we walked in smelled just like fried food, and the humidity didn’t help. The AC took forever to cool the place down, and it was so hot outside, so this was frustrating. The bed sagged under my weight (about 115 pounds) and my husband and I rolled into each other all night (he is also not a large person). One positive was that I never heard any other guests while in our room, either through the walls or from the hallway. Overall, I probably wouldn’t stay here again just due to the facilities. The staff and location were great.
I have stayed here 1-2 times a year for seven+ years now. The rooms, service and employees have all been great. I'm giving three stars on service due to parking. There is a small self-parking lot that used to be free, which was a draw, especially in a city. Then a small $12 charge appeared, and then this year, parking is now $18. I was here yesterday for one night and one night back in April. Both times, the lot was packed, which I had never seen before. This was graduation weekend, so that's understandable and I did eventually find a spot. This morning, when I left, I found a cone in front of my truck for no reason and there were more cars parked than spots in the lot. There were also two huge, over-sized work trucks parked, with one sticking out a good five feet. With the extra cars, it was difficult to get out. I think this hotel needs to better manage their parking lot and either get a real system to ensure only guests are parking there, or set something up with the parking garage that is close by. The fee has gone up, but there is no security and there is no verification of guest cars--what are we paying for? I might as well go to the Marriott a few blocks away and at least get a valet service with a parking fee.
The hotel was satisfactory and in a good location. The rooms are dated, but clean. Could use new furniture but beds were good. Had to request towels after the first night after being gone all day and room wasn’t cleaned but staff was friendly. Patio and pool were closed. Quiet area with good parking that was included, which is always nice.
Wonderful stay this hotel. Room was clean, quiet and fitted with everything to make a long stay comfortable. Easy access to parking and location is central to alot of great places in walking distance. My 2 "cons" would be the mattress was a bit stiff for me and then at 9am on a Saturday with no warning knock, announcement or anything..housekeeping just barged right into my room. Made me feel unsafe that they just waltz right in with no announcement, so the rest of the trip I kept the do not enter sign on my door.
This is THE BEST hotel I have EVER stayed at! The staff goes ABOVE & BEYOND to accommodate you. Even the GM Jasmin seems to do gymnastics to make sure your stay is PHENOMENAL. Clean rooms. SPECTACULAR breakfast. AMAZING staff and THE WORKS! Make sure to CHOOSE THIS PLACE because I promise you WON'T REGRET IT!?
