My gf and I stayed here for the first time Tuesday night after a long day after her eye surgery for cataracts. The bad first, there is no sign out front , I drove around for quite a whille and finally asked a shop owner a few doors down if he knew where it was. He pointed it out and said quite a few people have a hard time finding it because of a lack of a sign. Problem though with the toilet handle not flushing but I was able to fix it just about each time it needed flushing. Towel warmer didn't work correctly and too many tv remotes. Finally found one in the bathroom that would change the channel on the tv in the front of the room. Coffee maker needed a good cleaning, floors too. Had some water drop on the floor from taking ice out of ice machine, cleaned up with a clean paper towel and it was black where I wiped up the water, also sticky floor by table in eating area. Could never get the ac/heat unit to come on in bathrrom and main room or was able to turn off the fan as it was on the whole time. Would have washed some clothes but some stuff was left in the dryer, didn't open it to see but looked liked linens, not my job to figure out where to put it so left it alone. No staff on site to call about any issues is a negative as well. Gas lights by door are on a timer and even when on it is difficult to see when typing in code for door entry. Not trying to give a bad review as there were good things but the bad outweighed those. Would stay here again but hope some things improve before I would. As the owner states in his bio about the rooms he says if you need certain things do as you do at home, go to the store and get them but service is not sold at any store I know of but good service is expected yet not always given as I felt was the case here. I don't leave this review as malicious but leave it as a helpful way to improve service. If I owned it I would want to know the good and bad so I could do better.

I stayed in the Sterling Suite at The Royal on Main in Batesville and was blown away. Parking was easy, check-in was smooth, and the suite felt luxurious from the moment I walked in. The heated bathroom floors and spa-like shower were such a treat, and the towels were thick and fantastic. I’ve stayed at a lot of places over the years—from the Wynn to boutique hotels all over—and the bed here might be my favorite of all time. I actually caught myself looking for tags on the bedding before I left so I could figure out what they use! The hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly, offering great recommendations for local restaurants and even a sports bar to watch the game. Honestly, though, I didn’t want to leave the room. If you’re coming to Batesville and want a stay that feels special and truly comfortable, The Royal on Main is a must.

This place is amazing!! Thh room is perfect. Very spacious and accommodating. One issue, had no idea where to enter... needs a sign. Very impressed with everything in the room. Excellent!!! Most comfortable bed we have every laid upon

What an absolutely amazing stay! This boutique hotel is the definition of elegance and comfort. The room was stunning — thoughtfully designed, cozy yet sophisticated, and full of charm. The bed was hands down one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in — pure heaven after a long day. The bathroom was equally impressive, with heated floors that made it feel like a spa and a gorgeous bathtub perfect for unwinding. Every detail felt intentional and luxurious. Truly a 10/10 experience — quaint, unique, and unforgettable. I can’t wait to come back!

Lovely, rustic rooms with luxurious upgrades - we thoroughly enjoyed the heated bathroom tiles, towel warmer, heated toilet seat, and fancy fireplace! The beds were simply dreamy!! Very comfortable, cozy, warm, and spacious. The only reason I docked a star on service is because no one was on site during our stay, so had we needed anything like supplies, I'm not sure how we would have gotten that. We also had to ask some noisy guests to quiet down ourselves. We also had a hard time identifying the hotel from the road in the dark. Look for the whirling flame gas lamps!
