This place is a real sanctuary, wonderfully educating visitors and saving hundreds of animals from all over the US! The tram tour is a must. You can also get accommodated in here. They have a lot more facilities than you would guess and you can see them on special tours (book in advance). Great gift shop as well.

The attendee was SO NICE and personable, I wish I caught their name. I took my very grumpy 2 y/o and we skipped the guided tour and solo-walked the refuge. The ambience here is so peaceful although I can’t speak for peak hours, you can’t tell the animals are happy and their home is tranquil as well. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a less chaotic, uber kid-friendly alternative to the zoo! Thank you for the experience!

Over the years we have visited this place several times and are beyond impressed. The kids enjoy seeing the big cats and bears but as adults we feel so much gratitude for the staff who are tirelessly working to undo some of the damage we humans inflict on the animals. Glad to see that these animals get to have a dignified experience till their last breath. The tour guides are amazing too.

If you want to learn and support the refuge of Big and small wild cats, you must visit Turpentine Creek. The staff are so knowledgeable and willing to talk about all the cats. A visit here will give you a much better understanding of the cat species. Beautiful animals. Turpentine Creek has a phenomenal staff.

We visited this place while in Eureka Springs, Ark. Adults $35, seniors $25. Entry will get you a paved pathway through various pens with rescued animals, mostly cats, but also bears. Not all are visible as they get to live their lives, but most are. Then at you get an open air tram ride around the facility while a guide describes the animals, their stories, and how they came to be there. Some of these cats were rescued from the Tiger Kings cats. Then you can exit thru the gift shop. There are very nice restrooms and bench seating around the walkways. I really enjoyed the tour.
