In the Trees offers a unique and luxurious retreat nestled in a forest setting near downtown Hot Springs. Guests consistently praise the property’s beauty, amenities, and well-appointed cabins, with recurring themes of relaxation and a connection to nature. However, some recent experiences with the private chef service have raised concerns regarding customization and communication.
This was our 3rd visit to In the Trees. We absolutely adore this location vacation spot. It is such a unique location because you are so close to all the amenities that downtown Hot Springs has to offer yet you are in your own little natural forest paradise! We've done all the tourist "must have spots" and this time we really enjoyed staying on property the majority of the time. The property itself has grown so much and It so exciting to see the new additions. My personal favorite was visiting The Den which is a shared spot that hosts vinyl records, family games, and a lending library right there on the property. In addition, we loved seeing all the woodland creatures throughout the property. When we went this last week there were a lot more cars parked in front of the other cabins and treehouses yet the property was still super quiet! I love that they've added some special touches to the cabins themselves. Extra hooks around the shower for towels, a tea kettle, and a spice rack. We love cooking easy meals for breakfast and lunch and then going out to eat for dinner. In the Trees is a beautiful property and one we will likely continue to come again and again. My husband enjoys mountain biking and has rented an e-bike the last 3 times. He even said how impressed he was with the maintenance of the e-bikes. Specifically he commented on how the chains were nice and clean and if anything needed to be tweaked the staff was quick to attend to it. I got a in room massage this time and it was amazing!!! A wonderful treat after a crazy last few months.
I really enjoyed the beautiful views and the relaxing atmosphere, especially the jacuzzi. I also appreciated the thoughtful treats and toys they provided for my dogs when we arrived — that was such a nice touch. I paid for a massage during my stay, and the experience was amazing. Huge shoutout to Mikah and Regina for doing such a great job. They were both so kind and welcoming, and they made the experience even more relaxing and enjoyable. I was so impressed that I tipped them on the spot. I also added brunch and dinner with Chef Alex, but unfortunately, that part of the experience did not meet our expectations. I had texted him over 6 months in advance and clearly explained the meals my mom and stepfather wanted for both brunch and dinner. While I appreciate that he made sure vegan options were available for my mom, neither of them received the meals they specifically requested. My stepfather actually didn’t eat at all because nothing prepared matched what he asked for. It honestly felt like a waste of money because when you pay for a private chef experience, you expect some level of customization and communication regarding the food you requested. On top of that, his energy didn’t feel welcoming — it came across like he didn’t want to be there, which is why we chose not to leave a tip.
Absolutely exceeded expectations. Not being snooty haha, but I’m very particular about where we stay and took a full month to make a decision on here researching on it , and everything checked out so I finally booked and it was SOO definitely a place I would recommend! We loved it! We didn’t want to leave. The place is nice, beds are comfortable, service amazing, hikes fun, the hot tub at night w the stars and wine was my favorite! It was truly top notch! Def book and do the bathhouse and the hikes all day and hot tub and fire pit at night!
One of the hardest places for me to leave! The cabins and tree houses are beautiful and the service is immaculate. There are so many amenities available that make this the perfect getaway trip to reset and escape reality. I loved the hot tub, fire pit, puzzles, record player, and heated bathroom floors. They even include a cute little guest book with recommendations from previous travelers and treats to feed the deer and other wildlife. This was my first solo trip and I felt so safe here! I will definitely be coming back!
In The Trees is such a magical place. It is very well appointed and thought out. From the lightening, heated bathroom floor, hot tub, fire table, and luxury linens. The staff was wonderful. Location to downtown and to hiking is right out your door. We stayed at the couple cabin #335 the Miller. We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. Pet friendly a plus. We will definitely be back.
