The Lost Cabins of Petit Jean offers a secluded and tranquil retreat, praised for its rustic charm, excellent cleanliness, and friendly, accommodating owners. Guests particularly enjoyed the spacious showers, outdoor amenities, and the opportunity to disconnect from the modern world.
Was heading to the mountain for a Military retirement celebration, was having no success, within an hour of Petite Jean. A local trooper "Highly Recommend" The Lost Cabins. Even shot me Mr. West's number. Mr. West even answered the phone. Southern charm and then some. We agreed on the advertised price and cabin selection C-2 With an afternoon arrival on 3-5-26. It is not lost, but hidden like the Batcave, in a very good way. Off the grid. No bright lights Quiet, Clean & Comfy place to Unplug Unwind And basically exhale, even quiet enough to hear your heartbeat. Rare indeed. Texted Mr. West upon arriving, he sent the door code. Opened up C-2 and was transported to the mid 1970's in a very good way. 1 full size bed 1 twin A table for two Fridge Microwave TV ( didn't work, but took it as a sign from the Lord to hit the electric pause button) And rest - sleep. Thursday night we slept 10.5 hours Friday 9.5 Saturday yet 9 more hours of sleep. ?? And the shower, plus the shower head ? Was magnificent!!!! Usually most cabin showers are small and confining, with lame pressure. Not here. No siree. 2 adults could easily fit in it, the shower ? head is Newer Several settings Lots of pressure, the walls are easy to clean. Only thing Mia was a Shelf or Towel rack. But still an excellent experience. On Friday we met Mr. West. Just a good Ole Boy, filled with kindness and Louisiana charm. Instant fast friends. Parking nearby for 2 cars Two rockers on the porch. Burnpit with a flip grill. Bikes and Kayaks to rent Plus a sheltered Pavillion to, great for gathering. And a tranquil pond. Leave the cabin as you found it. Strip the beds Gather the towels Sweep and take out the trash. It was so good to unwind, get back to simplicity and the basics. Would and will stay here again.
First night was great, Mr West was a great host. This place is absolutely gorgeous and quiet retreat away from the busy world we live in. Great views from above ??
Mark was an excellent host, love the cabin, very rustic. Love the fact that the cabins are set back into the woods and not that far from petit jean. Definitely coming back with all of the kiddos for the next vacation.
Great time here, good for family time and disconnecting from the fast pace world and electronics definitely will be returning.
