We wanted to take our kids on the Buffalo for the first time and chose today as the day. We drove to Buffalo River Outfitters in Silver Hill without calling ahead hoping they could accommodate our large family. They were super friendly and helpful and found us the perfect mix of boats for our needs. They also helped us choose the best route for our children’s lack of experience. We ended up finishing the float in record time, and they allowed us to extend our trip to the next pull out with a simple phone call while we were still on the river. We all had a great time. Everyone from the front desk, to the guys at the launch and whoever drove our vehicle to the pickup were super nice and respectful. We will definitely be using this company again. The folks at Buffalo River Outfitters were a wealth of information. We used their shuttle service for a 3-day kayak trip from Pruitt to Baker Ford. The ladies at the store worked with us to find the best route for the conditions/our goals, helped us download a map app and informed us about the stops along the way. Blake took our truck to the take out point and he was very patient and easy to work with. When we arrived at our final destination, they sent folks over to make sure we were good. We will definitely be using their services again!

This is the premier outfitter for your Buffalo River vacation. The cabins are tucked in the woods so that all the porches face only woods and between the orientation of the cabin and the distance between, it is very private. The cabins are exactly what an Arkansas River cabin should be; comfortable yet simple rustic. And the porches have a swing and rockers exactly as they should. BRO also provided our float trip and that too was great. They did all the work and we did the fun. We rented a tandem kayak and paid to have our car moved from the drop off to the take out. That was actually very nice because it eliminates waiting and bus rides. We put in when we wanted and went at our own pace. We had minor issues and they responded quickly and kindly, as a family owned business would. After driving around extensively, I can tell the reader for sure, this is the company you want to deal with for your Buffalo River vacation.
