Our stay was better than expected and it felt like staying at a family home rather than just another hotel. I’m so tired of the same ol same ol “modern” cheap hotel/motel rooms. I can honestly give 5*’s even without the traditional breakfast (due to Covid). The consideration of what could be done to compensate the guests is obvious. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Waited to long for a reservation for the usual places and glad I did. If you like vintage old houses and don't mind the lack of workout rooms and such and like a hot cooked breakfast then this place is for you. Clean and quiet and our room was cheaper than the big chains.

The trotter house is a fun weekend getaway. The house is beautiful, affordable, and the breakfast was yummy. My husband and I walked downtown to eat dinner and while we were eating, a thunderstorm rolled in. The innkeeper, Rebekah, texted me and volunteered to pick us up which we gladly accepted.

Wonderful old building with surprisingly updated rooms! Great breakfast as well. Would recommend to anyone sampling Arkansas bed and breakfasts. Note: the included pic is not the actual bathroom.

Had a wonderful time at the Trotter house this past weekend. The rooms are well maintained and clean. Our two mornings in Monticello started of with a delicious breakfast and wonderful conversations with the other travelers. We look forward to staying there again!
