Ember Shoals offers a tranquil riverside retreat perfect for RV travelers, boasting stunning natural views and a friendly atmosphere. Guests consistently praise the cleanliness, convenient location near Cotter and local attractions, and the helpful staff. While bear sightings are a notable feature, the property provides ample opportunities for outdoor activities like fishing and wildlife viewing.
We took our own RV so no room required but as much work as I saw them putting into the rentals they are bound to be wonderful. We loved our stay, the views are amazing and it’s just so quiet. We were entertained by an Eagle, a Heron, and a bunch of Geese. On our way home, not too far from ESR, a bear cub ran across the road in front of us. My husband enjoyed the trout fishing and I enjoyed the relaxing nature around us. The people here are so friendly and accommodating. The laundromat was nice and cool and people donate items like food, soaps, etc. There is a lovely lounge if you need that maybe for a meeting, class, or safe area if the weather is extremely bad. The only thing I can think of that would improve this place is a place to prep fresh caught fish even though most people throw them back. We did venture out to town, meaning Cotter, and found a wonderful restaurant called The Sands and a wonderful Fly Shop called Natural State Fly Shop right across the street from restaurant. We are already planning another trip!
Fantastic RV resort. Very clean. Wide roads. Our site was level and wide. Enjoyed being in a riverside site. Look forward to staying there again.
We stayed at the Denton Ferry Campground and we loved it! Our camping spot was right on the bank of the beautiful White River, which gave us prime viewing for all of the wildlife that came to visit. Even though it was close to Gassville and Cotter, the campground was VERY quiet and peaceful! We loved many of the local restaurants for breakfast and supper and especially loved the town of Cotter. The campground is also close to Mountain Home, which was a great area to explore, and Bull Shoals, where we went to the state park. We will definitely be back!
2nd time staying at Denton Ferry. Facilities are clean. Bathrooms and showers are centrally located and a short walk from all sites. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The sites on the river are fantastic. They have a new nature trail and you can walk all the way to Cotter. Super convenient location for meeting up with fishing guides. Rates are very fair. Highly recommend.
This is an amazing RV park.. The White River flows on the edge of one full row for those enjoying a fabulous view of the Beautiful White River! Enjoy your time being enamored with watch the local nesting of a pair of Bald Eagles caring for their pair of chicks.. Don't be surprised when one of the Adult Eagles lands in a nearby (75-100') away to hunt for a trout to share with its family.... ??
